Strengths

  • I'm decisive, can choose a Netflix show in under 10 minutes.

  • Ran a half marathon, value endurance especially when assembling IKEA furniture.

  • Pursuing a project management master's, getting one degree hotter.

Weaknesses

  • Identifying weaknesses.

  • Really like disassebling things.

  • Relies on AI so much that I asked ChatGPT to write my weaknesses.

About Me

About Me

Hi. I'm Conor, an Automation Engineer working in the Life Sciences Macufacturing sector with experience in DeltaV MES design, configuration, and testing. I create user-focused graphics and configure modules, aligning with project requirements using P&IDs and CMI documents. My work includes producing essential documentation and conducting thorough Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure compliance and functionality. My use of PowerShell scripts has

greatly improved my productivity in handling extensive documentation and graphics tasks. Currently, I am enhancing my project management expertise through an MSc in Project Management, enabling me to lead and optimise project workflows and collaborate effectively in high-pressure environments. As a Graduate Member of Engineers Ireland, I value professional standards, ethics and integrity.

Projects

SCARA Robot

For my final year project, I designed and constructed a SCARA robot capable of executing pick-and-place tasks. The robot featured four articulated links powered by stepper motors and controlled via an Arduino microcontroller. Utilising Creo Parametric and Ultimaker Cura, I developed 3D models and printed components to assemble the robot. Calculations involving inverse kinematics and angle-to-step conversion were integral to achieving accurate movement control. A pulley and belt gearbox system was incorporated to enhance torque and minimise vibration. The robot was operated through serial communication established between a Python program and the Arduino.
